Set up just over three years ago in East London, Superimpose Studio was launched together with designer Toby Evans. Now with a full-time team of seven – often expanding to as many as 15 with freelancers – they have produced everything from events to brand launches and video content for companies such as adidas and Burberry.

Growing up in Coventry, Ollie went on to study media communication at the local university, but dropped out before the end of his third year in 2005. Knowing he had a lot to prove after leaving the course prematurely, Ollie moved to London with a huge amount of ambition, determined to make a notoriously touch city work to his advantage. On top of building a proactive social life, Ollie credits an early sales assistant job at American apparel with helping him grow an impressive network of creatives, many of whom he still works with today.

“It really is about patience. All those places you think you’re not learning – trust me, you are taking it in.”

It was through launching his own project, a blog championing fashion and culture, that he earned his first job in the industry as a trend forecaster, specialising in youth culture. Over the years, Ollie’s roles have included online social media consulting, social media management and creative strategy, for companies ranging from agency Poke London to Channel 4 and We Are Social – with a combination of those skills and contacts feeding into his current creative direction work, and ability to oversee the studio.
