The studio was founded in 2010 by Camberwell College of Arts alumni, Mike Moloney. Now seventeen strong, the team comprises a range of designers (specialising in motion, 2D, 3D and character animation-respectively) and a wider production team, hailing from media and communications backgrounds.

Independent in thought, diverse in technique, dedicated in practice, the studio prides itself on bringing everything to the table; exploring, reaching, honing — embracing the collective responsibility to create new perspectives and valuable outcomes.

A foundry for co–creation, joint–exploration and long–term friendships, Art&Graft is centred around a tight knit studio team. Both junior producers and creatives are afforded the opportunity to lead on projects and full studio meetings are a key part of the week.There is also a big focus on internal studio projects and personal growth. Art&Graft run weekly ‘Spark Sessions’ to explore the team’s inspirations and provide an annual development budget to each member of the studio. Company socials and masterclasses are also a big part of the studio calendar.

The studio is keen to connect with new talent in the industry and engages in an active programme of university talks and portfolio reviews. Additionally, Art&Graft runs an annual paid internship programme, designed to give those in the early stages of their career hands-on experience in the industry and an opportunity to explore all avenues of motion and animation, working across a huge range of studio projects.
