Looking to switch up your career or re-invent your business and make a positive change for 2024? Join us as we delve into an insightful panel discussion to hear from three special guests what their own pivoting journey looked like, the challenges, the successes and the triumphs along the way.

During this panel discussion, you will also have space to ask your own questions to the guests.

Key Information:

Bianca Bruce - Host Bianca, founder of Brand Her Well, is a podcaster, mentor and marketer, with the majority of her ventures being purposed for millennial women. Since the inception of her marketing career, Bianca has worked in teams for both small and large-scale cultural and media movements such as Afrofuture and Youtube, hosted online courses and events, and curated several resources to give organisations and impact-based initiatives a kick start in launching their brand and marketing strategies. For Bianca, working in marketing stems from a zeal to help elevate the overall presence and impact of innovations that are ignored or underserved.

Priscilla Vivian - Wellness Facilitator With a background in therapy, mental health education, and wellbeing consulting, Priscilla is passionate about supporting the mental health needs of minority entrepreneurs, recognizing entrepreneurship's vital role in fostering social mobility within Black communities. Priscilla’s goal is to help these communities build thriving businesses that close the wealth gap without sacrificing personal mental health. Through founding Vivify Therapy, an online service offering culturally informed care, Priscilla is committed to fostering equity and inclusion, focusing on digital mental health, student wellbeing, and the intersection of entrepreneurship with mental wellness. Grounded in 'Ubuntu', she advocates for community healing alongside individual well-being, prioritizing user-centred approaches in her work design.

Gerry Anyanwu - Special Guest Multi-passionate, Gerry has curated a successful portfolio career. Currently, client director at Global Media working with agencies and clients to help them deliver their brand stories. Her desire to lead a more purpose-driven life has driven her to launch a social enterprise called The Uncommon Collective supporting young people into employability Passionate about inclusion and representation she drives change in many areas. Working as a governor at a school, and co-chair of the family's employee network. Most recently working as one of the co-founders of Join Our Table an initiative to support Black women in the media and advertising industry.

Jan Wright - Special Guest Jan Wright holds the highest designation possible from Yoga Alliance - the international governing body for yoga teachers - which is based on having completed extended periods of advanced-level training and at least 2000 hours of teaching experience. This level of experience means she is also a registered provider of further education to other yoga teachers. Jan is also a Level 3 NASM Personal Trainer, Senior Fitness Specialist and Corrective Exercise Specialist. Jan teaches Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin yoga, mindfulness and meditation and runs regular strength training and functional movement group classes as well as private classes. Passionate about holistic wellness, she guides others to reconnect with their bodies, minds, and spirits through the practice of yoga, creating classes that empower and uplift them.

Ica Headlam - Special Guest Ica Headlam is a Creative Practitioner from London who moved to Aberdeen Scotland in 2004. Up until May 2023, he was also a qualified children and families social worker with 10 years of experience supporting vulnerable young adults, and families across Aberdeen. In late 2017 Ica started to independently produce and host Creative Me Podcast a fortnightly show that explores creativity, art, and culture in the North East of Scotland, with the aim of drawing a wider focus on Aberdeen's creative community. Ica is also the founder of We Are Here Scotland a non-profit organisation that aims to amplify the voices of Black and People of Colour artists and creatives across Scotland. Ica is a strong advocate for representation across the arts and values the importance of open and honest dialogue.
