Job Description

We're looking for a Bar Manager who will be responsible for leading the management of our bar service during theatre performances and our popular nightlife programme, ensuring we are a welcoming and inspiring destination, and that financial targets are met.

Start date ASAP. Full time, 1 year fixed term.

40 hours split between 3-4 office days (Monday to Friday 10:00 - 18:00), and 1-2 duty management shifts (theatre hours Monday - Saturday 16:00 - 23:00 & event hours Friday or Saturday typically 21:00 - 04:00, but sometimes as late as 06:00).

Essential
— I have 1 or more year/s of managerial experience in a bar or hospitality environment.
— I have financial or budgeting experience.
— I have proven leadership skills.
— I have an understanding of the trends in bars and an awareness of alcohol producers (e.g. breweries/ distilleries).
— I have excellent IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Desirable
— I have an interest in and knowledge of theatre and the arts.
— I have demonstrable knowledge of Health and Safety and Licensing legislation.
— I have Event management experience.
— I have completed Food hygiene training.
— I have completed First Aid training.
— I am a Personal Licence holder.
