The studio was founded in 2017 and began with two people. Five years later it’s now a multi-skilled, experienced and talented team of 16, based in Farringdon, London.
The team spans strategists, art directors, designers, motion designers, writers, project managers, and account handlers.
Progress sits at the heart of what they do, looking to continually take strides forward, never standing still.
Work that genuinely changes a relationship between a person and thing, speaks to both the heart and the mind.
To speak to both, the idea must come from both – that means applying both science and art, to excite the head and warm the heart.
For this work to become an experience, it must exist beyond just a thought or an idea. That’s why ShopTalk believes in doers, designers, creators, builders, coders, and makers.
There’s no such thing as great work on the cutting room floor.
From the weekly team breakfast every Thursday to the various design talks available, the team genuinely enjoys spending time together.
They work hard to maintain a friendly and inviting atmosphere in the studio and instigate a positive company culture where everyone has a voice.
This is why personal initiatives are always welcomed and supported.
The flexible hours and the balance between working from home and working in the studio is here to ensure people can enjoy life inside of work.
Their monthly appreciation program ShopSpot provides fun, out-of-work experiences.
Attitude is as important as experience and skill-set at ShopTalk.
They are a close group with an open and collaborative mindset.
ShopTalk runs a paid internship programme, during which interns are guided in their development by more senior designers with regular check-ins.
For 1-3 months interns become integral members of the team and have the opportunity to be part of the creative process.
The programme has been very successful so far with interns becoming full-time employees.
