Animade is an award-winning animation studio in London.
Known for buoyant and charming animation and finding the personality in every project, it aims to create emotional connections, and above all, to make the world a bit more characterful.
The studio has a decade of experience in bringing campaigns to life for Facebook, Google and Dunkin’ Donuts, as well as charities such as Bloody Good Period and Aidsmap.
Founded in 2010 and starting out in a small studio space, Animade is now celebrating its tenth anniversary. It revealed a bold rebrand in 2020, representing the personality and culture of the company and its ‘Animaders’.
Animade's team is growing, with roles spanning from directors, producers and creatives to account managers, marketing and HR professionals.
Passion and curiosity are the founding values at Animade, and the creative community is supported through openness, honesty and friendliness.
The team are encouraged to explore new ways of doing things through play. In addition to client projects, time for play gives creatives space to learn, explore and, most importantly, have fun.
Innovation plays a big part in the company culture –as it does across the industry as a whole. This is something the team take time to remind themselves of, as they keep driving their craft forward.
Animade puts its people first, prioritising the working culture to ensure that its core values are instilled in the day-to-day. This includes protecting a healthy work-life balance, by accommodating people’s different needs through flexible working and by avoiding overtime wherever possible.
The team’s dedicated ‘culture captains’ plan events that range from quizzes to film nights, book clubs and summer fun days. Plus, each team member is assigned a budget that they can invest in their wellbeing, learning and development.
The Animade team are passionate about providing opportunities to aspiring creatives. They often collaborate with universities and share knowledge on all things animation, and also offer internships – with many interns progressing to join the team (which is how some of the senior creatives began their own journeys).
New joiners are welcomed with a fun and informative onboarding presentation as part of the induction process, which is an opportunity to learn more about the company. They have 1:1s with all the team including senior leadership, and are also assigned an existing Animader as a ‘buddy’ to help guide them through their first weeks.
Animade is offering two positions in support of the Kickstart scheme, which connects talented young people with opportunities in the creative, cultural or tech sectors.
