The Different Folk, launched in September 2020, represents some of the best contemporary creatives from around the globe. We’re excited to grow the agency and are looking to bring on a new part-time member of staff with the view to build this role up over time.
As Social Media & Marketing Assistant, you will be responsible for showcasing our artists’ work to the world. You will primarily be tasked with helping run social media, set up marketing campaigns and to manage the website CMS, so must be confident with digital media. We’re looking for someone with a passion for socials, both content management and curation, who can work with our close team to grow our online presence.
Main Responsibilities:

Managing our social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Behance etc.)

Creating reels and laying out content ahead of posting.

Gather and distribute new work from artists.

Website and archive management, uploading and curating artist’s work.

Work with copywriters to write, build and curate monthly newsletters.

Curating PDFs to fit briefs.

Researching marketing strategy to make sure our content is on par with the quality of our artists’ work.

Help to manage contact databases to make sure client details are up-to-date.

Promoting artists’ work through emails to potential clients.

Assisting with the day-to-day running of the agency, as needed.
Main Skills:

A dab-hand at social media with good copywriting skills and an understanding of each major platform.

Comfortable with the Adobe Creative Suite - in particular InDesign, Premiere Pro and Photoshop.

A natural ‘can do’ attitude and a supportive team player.

Great organisational and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to learn.

Literate and numerate with strong administration skills.

Ability to multi-task within a dynamic and fast-moving environment.

An interest in contemporary illustration and animation would be highly advantageous.
