Driving new customer acquisition through a dynamic community programme including membership and open events.

The Community Coordinator will be a representative of the brand to consumers and partners. A positive force for the brand, this person will play a critical role within our UK operations.

The Community Coordinator will support the UK Marketing and London Clubhouse team in planning and executing brand activations. This includes the execution of RCC and public events and rides in the London metro, supporting the UK Activations Manager to deliver brand-owned and partner events, and managing regional RCC ride leaders and partners.

This person will work closely with many functions within the business: collaborating with the UK Marketing Manager (line manager), Clubhouse General Manager and staff, RCC Global Manager, other metro/Community managers around the world and the the support functions at the London HQ office (central marketing, creative, product, finance).

The Role

Rides, Events and Member Leadership

  • Create, organise and manage a reliable weekly RCC ride schedule for club members in and around the London Clubhouse and wider metro. With week to week regularity and new themed rides to surprise and delight.
  • Within the schedule, offer open rides for non-members to join and experience membership at Rapha first hand.
  • Create RCC member exclusive events in and around the Clubhouse and wider metro, from special on-bike rides and events to weekend escapes, off-bike socials, talks and dinners.
  • Execute open events aimed at the wider community to drive footfall back to the Clubhouse.
  • Lead, manage and support a large team of RCC ride leaders to help you deliver the above.
  • Be the face and leader of the RCC in the community and be there for the members.


Communications

  • Management of all RCC communications in the London metro; ensuring members are well informed. In particular the RCC App and local chapter newsletter. Support on local communications channels (Instagram, Facebook and newsletter).
  • Internally communicate RCC plans and ensure broader teams are fully informed and involved in the RCC.


Wider Support

  • Wider brand activations and other highlights in the cycling calendar across the UK.
  • Work closely with the local marketing teams, Clubhouse teams, RCC central teams, and other staff across the network to help deliver a vibrant club and community in London.
  • Creating regular reports on current and upcoming activations, product and member insights.
  • Be the voice of the London RCC chapter within the wider business and champion the customer voice across teams (RCC, Central, Retail etc).
  • Manage yearly budget
  • Work with the marketing team to create a holistic annual plan that meets the membership needs and aligns with RCC and brand strategies.


The Candidate

  • Has approx. 2yrs experience in a hospitality, events or community-focused role

  • Has an eye for detail, is highly organised and would love to create and facilitate special events that can be “only Rapha”

  • Is creative and knows how to deliver customer-facing experiences

  • Loves cycling, with an appreciation of the sport

  • Has a basic understanding of marketing and social media, or the appetite to learn

  • Proactive, dynamic interpersonal style and accustomed to the pressures of a customer facing role.

  • Resourceful, but knows when to ask for help

  • Can be the face of the Rapha brand, projecting the values of the brand in all interactions

  • Must hold a UK driving licence and be happy to drive a van (or be willing to learn)

  • Comfortable with working non-office hours i.e. weekends and evenings. This will be required throughout the year but particularly during peak events season (spring-summer).
