Hysterical: Women's History Month Charity Exhibition
Hysterical Collective
Hysterical is a charity art exhibition and celebration of subversive art by women and people of marginalised genders, founded and curated by Bee Illustrates and Eliza Hatch. The exhibition also hosts a variety of events & facilitates a safe space for women, the LGBTQ+ community & allies to feel celebrated, included and inspired.
The show will bring together creatives from multiple disciplines including photography, illustration, film, textiles and digital media whose work focuses on issues such as identity, race, sexual harassment, gender, politics and more.
This year we have partnered with Bermondsey Project Space to showcase the work of a selection of amazing creatives from a diverse range of backgrounds.
During the run of the charity exhibition, we are also hosting a feminist zine making workshop on the 18th of March hosted by Grrrl Zine Fair, and a life drawing class the following day by Body Love Sketch Club which is being sponsored by CASS Art. We are also having a panel on the 25th with speakers; model and instagram policy advocate Nyome Nicholas Williams, author of ‘Queer Body Power’ artist, changemaker Essie Dennis and disabled model and content creator Lucy Dawson, hosted by our very own Bee Illustrates.
Join us for the private view of Hysterical 2023, meet the exhibiting artists, and get a first look at the exhibition before it opens to the public.
We are so excited to welcome you to Hysterical!
