About the event

For this talk, we're delighted to be joined by Ellie Ramsden and Ademola Bello.

Ellie is a photographic artist based in London, the Winner of the 2021 TPF Grant and a current mentor at TPF. Ellie's work aims to question stereotypes, stimulate discussion and give new perspectives.

Ademola is a writer and journalist, currently working for the New York Times. He specialises in visual journalism and telling data-led stories in an engaging way.

During the talk, Ellie will share her ongoing project, 'This Land is Our Land' a documentary project, which addresses the UK housing crisis, through exploring sustainable housing models and alternatives to home ownership. The project's primary focus is Sanford Cooperative, the UK's first housing co-op.

Ademola + Ellie will discuss their process, roles and lessons learned during the project as photographers, journalists and collaborators.

There will be space for questions at the end of the talk.

• The talk will start at 7pm and finish by 8pm
• Please pay what you can for this event, we will be selling zines and accepting donations during the event
• There is a flight of stairs down into the gallery space and no lift access at this event.

About The Photography Foundation + The Photobook Cafe

The Photography Foundation was created to provide pathways to professional photography for less advantaged young adults in London by offering education, practical experience, and routes to a career in the creative industries.

This event is in proud partnership with Photobook Cafe - a community cafe & photo book library based in Shoreditch. Established in 2019, PBC was built on a passion for photographic photo books and traditional darkroom practice, as well as a love of food and drink.
