XYZ is an independent brand experience agency founded in 2012 by Will Mould and Paul Stanway. We conceive, design, and deliver brand experiences based on insights, creativity, innovation, and effectiveness - from packaging design to interactive immersive experiences, from creative strategy and toolkits to large scale live event experiences. The Role:
Junior Graphic Designer
Responsibilities (General)
- Prioritise daily workload for yourself and other members of the team to ensure you remain organised and monitor progress to meet planned deadlines
- Communicate proactively and professionally with your colleagues
- Be available and approachable
- Be open, honest and contribute positively to the company culture
- Keep up to date with social, digital, and cultural trends
- Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge through reading publications and journals, attending / participating in appropriate industry events
- Continually work to improve client relationships and satisfaction
Responsibilities (Creative)
- Conceptualise and create innovative designs and graphics using Adobe Suite
- Work closely with the Design Lead, Creative Director and in house creative team to build and create collateral materials, print ready files for production teams, client presentations and visual assets for Marketing & New business teams
- Help the team create polished presentations and design elements for live projects within the agency and new business pitches
Essential Skills / Experience
- Previous graphic design experience within a working environment
- BA/BS/BFA degree desirable but not essential
- Confident in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, After Effects (no essential)
- Experience in presentation design; Keynote
- Ability to conceptualise, illustrate and create graphic artwork based on brand brief requirements with the ability to follow brand guidelines and adapt to different client/brand needs.
- Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and priorities workload
- Bring fresh ideas to the team and challenge the status quo
- High quality control and attention to detail
- Experience in packaging artwork files and making print ready
- Knowledge in printing techniques desired but not essential
- Communicates effectively and constructively with the team and clients where appropriate
- Able to complete tasks at expected quality with strong attention to detail
- Flexible approach to problem solving
- Client loyalty that facilitates organic new business growth
- Mac user
