Junior Designer | Job Specification

Not Actual Size is an independent, employee-owned agency. We help brands to listen, and use that intelligence to craft meaningful conversations.

About the role

We’re looking for a stellar Junior Designer to join our in-house design team at NAS, working predominantly across social content for a number of well-known brands. The role involves ideating and designing a broad range of social posts – with a focus on high-quality design and standout storytelling.

You’ll work helping drive design excellence across all creative work streams, generating best practice design content across a broad range of brands, channels and formats.

About you

A confident Junior Designer with a recent design degree or past relevant brand design experience. You’ll know how to create best-in-class, ‘always on’ digital content that truly stands out.

You:

  • A naturally talented designer, known for contributing original and creative answers to briefs within the real-world parameters that accompany them
  • Have an eye for detail and ensuring assets are the highest quality throughout entire process from generation through to delivery
  • Have an inherent interest in the beauty and personal care industries, and are interested in learning about trends and insights
  • Have a passion for learning new technologies and about new platforms
  • Have proficient knowledge of Adobe Suit
  • Have prior experience in social and digital channels and an interest to create content that pushes boundaries
  • A natural team player, valuing openness and collaboration with all team members
  • Have an inherent interest in contributing to concept ideation across a broad range of formats and channel
  • Able to work quickly and calmly to meet all deadlines, juggling multiple projects simultaneously
  • A direct and clear communicator – presenting ideas internally in a clear and inspiring way, bringing to life work and company ethos with passion and enthusiasm
  • Have the instinct and ability to safeguard each brand’s visual identity (including the NAS brand) through the rigorous application of the approved BVI to designs – as well as proactively suggesting design developments
  • Extremely organised, with great attention to detail and an ability to maintain high standards during bursts of activity
  • A sideways-thinker; thinking outside the box to discover new ideas and designs
