About the role

We are looking for a bright, innovative and ambitious graphic design intern to join us for one to three months this summer.

At Luminous, we believe in shining new light on creative careers by illuminating possibilities. As strategic storytellers, our expertise lies in helping businesses unearth their differences and craft communications that make them shine. Our internship scheme is a great opportunity for you to gain real-world experience in a creative and supportive studio.

As an intern, you will have an assigned mentor throughout the scheme who will ensure you get the most out of the experience. Working on live client projects across brand, editorial and digital applications, you’ll get the opportunity to learn not just from our design team but from people around our business, to give you that full agency experience.

We pay our interns proportionately to the London Living Wage for their work during internships. This is a hybrid role, working at least three days a week from our Farringdon office.

Your experience

A degree Is not essential, but an ideas-based portfolio is. We’re not expecting to see fully realised client work, but a showcase of what excites you about design – whether that’s university, competition briefs or self-initiated projects. We’re keen to hear from passionate designers who have a willingness to engage, learn and experiment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create positive impact – Visualise unique, creative ideas through mood boards and design concepts and present these internally.
  • Lead with insight – Demonstrate curiosity and a passion for design culture and share current trends with the design team.
  • Build teams, remove barriers – Be an integral part of the team and take part in all aspects of studio life.
  • Be kind – Support other members of the design team with their projects.
