Without Walls is recruiting for a Finance Officer. This role is a key part of the Finance and Operations Team, supporting the Senior Finance Manager with processing and maintaining accurate financial records for Without Walls.
Job Title: Finance Officer
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £27,000 per annum pro rata / £16,200 per annum actual
Hours of work: 3 days / 24 hours per week
Annual Leave: 25 days plus bank holidays, per annum pro rata
Reports to: Senior Finance Manager
Location: Manchester, UK. The role is office-based with occasional home working available.
Start date: ASAP Visa Requirements: If you are a non-British citizen, you will need to have the right to live and work in the UK. We will request proof of your right to work before an offer of employment is made
Purpose
The post holder will be a key part of the Finance and Operations Team, supporting the Senior Finance Manager with processing and maintaining accurate financial records for Without Walls.
The role has responsibility for ensuring that transactions are entered into the finance software in a timely and efficient manner. This will include purchase invoices, staff and partner expenses and credit card expenditure.
The post holder will prepare invoices and grants for authorisation and payment, according to our Finance Procedures, and manage regular payment runs according to the needs of the organisation.
They will support the processing of monthly payroll for all staff, liaising with external payroll providers as required.
The post holder will benefit from a range of professional development opportunities and gain insights to the operations of a funded arts organisation working on a range of projects.
All staff have opportunities to learn on the job by attending festivals, meetings, and training delivered by Without Walls and its partners.
This role involves access to the organisation’s banking and finance records and as such is subject to an enhanced background check. We would welcome applications from candidates who may need to work different hours to those outlined in the Job Description above.
