A Freelance Junior Artworker / Digital Designer
R/GA are recruiting an artworker / digital designer to work directly with one of our global entertainment clients. We are looking for raw talent but also someone who has had some experience of working in a commercial environment. A fantastic opportunity for a designer to learn and develop their design skills, whilst working on some very creative content. You will be looked after and supported as you grow.
This role is a contract and ideally, we would like this person to start by end of October to run through until end of March 2025. You will be paid a day rate which we can discuss on application.

Role Overview:
The Creative Team is seeking a hands-on, creative, and detail-focused Artworker/Digital Designer to join forces with the team & contribute their design experiences for their digital marketing touchpoints worldwide.
This role will report to the Design Manager to liaise with other cross-functional departments and deliver Digital creative & expertise for projects on schedule and on-brand.
Supports the development of new and improve current best practices, production techniques and workflows. Provides design support for key digital projects for Digital channels.
Design support on a range of projects which may include artwork and design production across campaigns, website, emails and a variety of other projects.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support in the day-to-day digital design & production tasks of layout, template-building, edits.
- Collaborate and communicate with designers, copywriters, project managers and traffic coordinators.
- Present design efforts in front of small groups, over email, and/or through visual presentations to a wide audience of various backgrounds.
- Take initiatives to better understand industry and competitor approaches researching via a number of tools.
- Develop Localized artwork for clients different digital channels.
- Responsible for updating technical guidelines.
What we’re looking for:
1+ years of digital production design experience in a dynamic Marketing environment, working either in-house or agency-side (open on the years experience).
Expert knowledge of design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.). Figma, Miro.
Design theory, including layout, color, typography, hierarchy, as well as current design trends.
Ability to conceptualize in quick, broad strokes and big, creative ways, but able to see ideas through to the last details of file organization and clean-up, adhering to template specs, proofing content, and spellchecking.
Experience designing across a wide variety of media and formats.
Ability to follow design instructions and implement style guides.
Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced, and dynamic corporate environment while staying deadline-focused on multiple projects with composure and ease.
Flexible, team player, devoid of ego, with enthusiasm for collaboration and a willingness to take direction and offer own insights.
Ability to take art direction.
Strong verbal and written communications skills and friendly, approachable demeanor.
Extensive experience working within brand guidelines (bonus points if you’ve helped develop a set of brand guidelines yourself).
Excellent problem-solving and spatial thinking skills across digital with excellent conceptual, layout, and typography skills.
Have highly refined attention to detail, strong file-building and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate ideas visually, written and verbally.
Knowledge of designing and optimizing for digital touchpoints, design patterns, responsive design, user-centered design, user-journeys, online retail & accessibility
Bonus:
Working knowledge of HTML 5..
Multilingual.
