Artist Call Out: Black History Month show at the Royal Museums Greenwich
The Collective Makers
TCM, in collaboration with Royal Museums Greenwich, is excited to announce an open call for the upcoming Black History Month exhibition titled “Resilience,” to be hosted at The Queen’s House throughout October 2024.
About the Display/Event:
“Resilience” seeks to highlight the exceptional work of artists from the Black community who have established an art practice. This exhibition will showcase a diverse range of mediums, including digital art, animation, AI technology, science, sound, and soundscapes. The focus is on exploring themes of identity, culture, language, society, and other related topics that resonate with the concept of resilience.
In the modern art landscape, numerous artists employ AI as a tool to boost creativity, manipulate data, and explore new interactions between humans and algorithms, leading to innovative artistic forms and outcomes. We believe the collaboration between AI artists and cultural heritage professionals is crucial, combining diverse goals and expertise, and promoting ethical discussions on collection histories, classification systems, diversity, and representation.
