Knights Of is an award-winning independent children’s publisher looking for a creative, committed, and talented design assistant to work across our list. We are recognised for nurturing incredible diverse talent and bringing debut talent to chart topping positions. Some of our award winning titles include High Rise Mystery, A Kind of Spark and Happy Here.
Design is central to our vision and we have continually challenged expectations on what inclusive and bestselling commercial publishing can look like. A core aspect to our approach is working with experienced and new illustrators and growing creative relationships. This role will enable you to learn how design operates within the publishing industry – both for books and marketing purposes.
As this is an entry level position we do not require you to have had any previous publishing or professional design experience but you should be able to demonstrate a keen design eye, good creative flair and a desire to learn. You’ll be a confident user of Adobe Creative Programmes – ideally with some experience in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
In 2022 we were awarded Children’s Publisher of the Year at the British Book Industry Awards. With a growing team with big ambitions, it’s a great time to join Knights Of. A love of inclusive children’s books is essential.
