We are Square Production, we specialise in all aspects of broadcast and event creation and production, from simple webinars and multi-site satellite broadcasts to virtual, hybrid or fully live events. We are expanding and are now looking for a Junior Production Technician to join our friendly team based in Farnham, Surrey.

What you’ll be doing: You’ll be working with our production and technical team assisting in all elements of both small and large scale event production, both broadcast and live. You will have the opportunity to actively work as part of the show team on live events: from assisting with sound, lights, camera to being part of the get in & out, crew and rigging team. The role is varied, as are the projects you’ll be working on, they may be day time or evening, inside or outside and may take you all around the UK.


Duties may include:

  • Preparing, collating and maintaining equipment
  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Lifting and moving equipment both in-house and on-site
  • Assisting with check in, testing and maintenance & ensuring all equipment is accounted for
  • Assisting with all aspects of on-site event work
  • Assisting with all aspects of broadcast work
  • Helping to maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested

Qualifications and Experience:
A high level of computer literacy (both Mac and PC) is essential, including knowledge of related presentation software e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint. A qualification in a related field would be advantageous (e.g. stage management/theatre studies/sound engineering).

A basic understanding of sound, lighting, and camera equipment would be advantageous although not essential e.g.:

  • Data projectors and other display systems
  • Audio mixers, DSPs and amplification systems
  • Audio and Video recording including video mixers
  • AV control systems
  • Video camera set up and operation, lighting, recording
  • Live streaming
