Join us for an exclusive screening of writer-director Edem Wornoo's debut short film 'Butterfly Affect'. We will be hearing from Edem and Producer Danielle Goff about the process from start to finish and will open up the floor for any questions you might have.

This session is part of our Freelance Survival Guide series designed for those who want to build the confidence and connections to progress as a freelancer.

Butterfly Affect summary
Iris, a young black ballet dancer from the ends must learn how to survive in two opposing worlds in order to spread his wings. In association with Sky Studios.

About Edem Wornoo
Edem Wornoo is a Ghanian-British Writer and Director from South London working predominantly in film and tv. He is currently writing on the BBC1 show 'Champion' and has recently completed his short film ‘Butterfly Affect’ in association with sky studios.

He has also worked extensively in music videos and commercials, writing and directing videos for artists and brands such as Santan Dave, Stormzy, Wretch 32, Adidas, Footlocker & Asus.

Thematically, his work consists of street-level fantasies that draw out the magic in the people, places and things that he grew up around.

About Danielle Goff
Danielle Goff is a BAFTA, BIFA & RTS nominated and Grierson & Annie Award winning producer. She is currently working for Fable Pictures as Producers Assistant/Associate Producer to Faye Ward and Hannah Farrell.

Danielle is an alumni of the MA Producing course from National Film and Television School and a recipient of the Screenskills scholarship. She was elected the Student Union President of the NFTS in 2021. She is mentored by Rebecca O’Brien of Sixteen Films.

Danielle is from British, Jamaican and Algerian heritage and a working-class background. Her experiences and the stories she tells are inherently influenced by her class, heritage and culture. She is currently building a slate of Film and TV projects.

Danielle has recently produced a slate of Short Films; DBK Studios Unearthed Narratives Short Film Slate, in association with Sky Studios and Exec-Produced by Koby Adom. The films were released in April 2022.
