The Different Folk is a relatively new illustration agency, launched in September 2020,
representing some of the best contemporary creatives from around the globe. We’re excited to
grow the agency and are looking to bring on a part-time member of staff (1-2 Days a week) with the view to build
this role up over time.
As a Junior Illustration Agent, you will be responsible for assisting with the general running of
the agency. You will primarily be tasked with managing social media, building Mailchimp
campaigns and managing the website CMS, so must be confident with digital media. Whilst this
is an exciting role in the creative industries, this is a primarily administrative position and the
successful applicant will be working closely with artists, rather than creating artwork
Manage social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.)
Gather and distribute new work from artists.
Website and archive management, uploading and curating artist’s work.
Work with copywriters to write, build and curate monthly newsletters.
Manage contact databases to make sure client details are up-to-date.
Assist with paperwork - estimates, invoicing etc. as needed.
Stay abreast of creative industry developments.
Create curated PDFs to fit briefs.
Promoting artists’ work.
Book portfolio presentations to promote artists’ work.
As role grows, learn to quote and project manage illustration commissions.
Passion for contemporary illustration.
A dab-hand at social media with good copywriting skills and an understanding of each major platform.
Ability to multi-task within a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
A natural ‘can do’ attitude and a supportive team player.
Great organisational and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to learn.
Literate and numerate with strong administration skills.
Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, G Suite and Microsoft Office would be desired, but is not necessary.
