A full-time intern position available through the government’s new Kickstart scheme. A paid role open to all 16 to 24 year-olds currently receiving Universal Credit. All applications must be via your work coach.

Butt Studio is a small animation and design studio in London, working in the music and fashion world with a creative use of technology and storytelling. After 4 years of working as a solo creative, I am looking to hire my first long-term Intern position.

I’m looking for a Motion Design Intern with a strong portfolio of 3D animation. You'll be working on a variety of briefs for clients in the worlds of music and fashion; from helping to shape and create music videos, to building fresh animations for sportswear campaigns.

This is an opportunity to work on projects from concept to delivery. You’ll be invited to contribute in the initial stages as we build the art direction together, all the way through to creating the final pieces.

Day to day you will be 3D modelling, animating (3D & 2D), and experimenting. You will be involved in calls and meetings with clients, and in helping projects run smoothly through acute awareness of timings and deliverables.

You’ll need the skill set and confidence to craft, deliver and present work to a high standard. Whilst some software skills are required, good ideas are valued over technical ability.

We work 4 days a week - Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri from 9.30 - 5.30pm with flexi-time options. A few hours each week will be set aside for development, through online learning in the techniques and software that interest you. The studio is based in Hoxton, East London and would require coming in during working hours.

The initial contract is 6 months, with a 1 month probation period and review.

You’ll need experience and capability in the Adobe Suite, most importantly After Effects and Photoshop. Knowledge of Cinema 4D is essential.

Experience with plugins such as Redshift and X-Particles are a bonus.

Flexi-time based on 9.30am - 5.30pm. 4 days a week: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri.

£13 (works out at roughly £18,000 annual salary)
