The creative industry is constantly offering opportunities for designers, artists and general makers and doers to help them excel in their careers. Which is why, every few weeks, we share some of the best job listings, events and programmes on our Opportunities Board.

Emerging Designers Access Fund - The Design Museum

The Design Museum’s access fund gives emerging designers, who may face financial or other barriers to visiting the museum, free access to the institution’s exhibitions. Registration for the fund is open to any practicing designer who is over the age of 18 and is either in further education, higher education or within five years of leaving education or setting up a business.

Open Call for 2023 Programme – New Contemporaries

The organisation welcomes submissions from emerging and early-career artists who are either final year students, recent graduates or post-graduate students. Future Makers: Emerging Artist Programme – Grand Matter

Future Makers is a yearly professional development programme open to illustration-based artists aged 18 and over who belong to underrepresented groups in the industry. Public Art Wall Commission – Westminster City Council

Mentorship Scheme – The AOI

Applications are open for the Association of Illustrators’ free mentorship scheme. It’s designed for illustrators who are underrepresented in the industry as well as aspiring illustration agents. Successful applicants will have six online sessions with their mentor over three to six months. Mentees will be asked to set up three goals to achieve for the duration of the scheme.

Writers’ Award Competition – Creative Future
